The catalog for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2023 June Sale of Two-Year-Olds and Horses of Racing Age is now available via the OBS website at obssales.com. Supplemental entries will be accepted until May 24th.
There are 1,016 two-year-olds and six older horses cataloged for the three-day sale, with all sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. Hip No.’s 1 – 360 will sell on Tuesday, June 13th; Hip No.’s 361 – 720 will be offered on Wednesday, June 14th and Hip No.’s 721 – 1017 (2YO), 1018 -1023 (HRA), plus supplements, will sell on Thursday, June 15th.
The Under Tack Show will begin Monday, June 5th and continue through Saturday, June 10th. The daily schedules will be announced after the close of Supplemental entries. All Under Tack sessions begin at 7:30 a.m.
The Under Tack Show and Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the DRF, TDN, BloodHorse and Past The Wire websites.

George Krikorian’s multimillionaire War Like Goddess, pictured on the front cover, has racked up eight graded stakes wins including the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (G1) and Flower Bowl (G1). The 6-year-old daughter of English Channel won her third consecutive Bewitch (G3) on closing day at Keeneland. War Like Goddess was consigned to the 2019 OBS June Sale by Hemingway Racing and Training Stables, and sold for $30,000 after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5. Michael Lund Petersen’s Adare Manor, a graded stakes winner at three and four, recently captured the Santa Maria Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita and won the Las Virgenes (G1) over the same track. The 4-year-old daughter of Uncle Mo, trained by Bob Baffert, is now 10-4-4-0 and has earned $501,600 for trainer Bob Baffert. Winning Move Stable’s Joey Freshwater made the grade in April in Aqueduct’s Bay Shore Stakes (G3). The 3-year-old colt by Jimmy Creed was purchased for $35,000 out of the Harris Training Center consignment at the 2022 OBS June Sale after breezing an eighth in :10 1/5. James M. Daniell and Donna Daniell’s Offlee Naughty picked a good spot for his first stakes victory, scoring in Santa Anita’s Charles Whittingham Stakes (G2) in his most recent start. The 5-year-old son of Flashback, trained by Mike McCarthy, is now 16-4-1-1 and has earned $310,645. He was sold for $4,000 by J V C Training and Sales (Jorge and Maria Villagomez), Agent, at the 2020 OBS June Sale after breezing an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video
Andrew N. Warren and Rania Warren’s Raise Cain earned a berth in the Kentucky Derby (G1) with a 7-1/2 length victory in Aqueduct’s $300,000 Gotham Stakes (G3) in March. The 3-year-old colt by Violence, consigned to the 2022 OBS June Sale by Eisaman Equine, Agent, went through the ring after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 3/5. D.J. Stable LLC’s Webslinger picked up his first graded stakes win in Churchill’s American Turf Stakes (G2) on the Derby undercard. His victory was a milestone 2,500th win for D.J. Stable LLC. The 3-year-old gelding by Constitution is a two-time OBS graduate, going through the ring at the 2022 Spring Sale, then purchased for $50,000 out of the Blue River Bloodstock consignment at the June Sale after breezing three eighths in :33 1/5. Golden Kernel Racing Stable’s Yes I Am Free has scored in consecutive renewals of the Gulfstream Park Turf Sprint (G3). It was the fourth stakes win for the 7-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Uncaptured, consigned by Hawk’s Nest LLC to the 2018 OBS June Sale, and sold for $135,000 after breezing an Under Tack quarter in :21 1/5. The website’s searchable and sortable master index provides links to under tack videos, walking videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. It has also been updated to allow shortlist creation. A link to instructions can be found in the index header and a step by step tutorial is available in the index as well.
