Orr’s First Peace, rated nicely off the pace in the $101,500 John Shear Stakes at Santa Anita on Easter Sunday, slipped inside to take the lead turning for home and held on stubbornly to score by a length. Fellow OBS graduate Valiancer (June ’22) checked in third. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old graded stakes placed colt by Funtastic, trained by Mark Glatt, now 6-2-2-1 with $141,300 in earnings.
