OBS March millionaire Last Samurai came from off the pace to take the $600,000 Razorback Handicap (G3) at Oaklawn Park on Saturday. Off slowly, the 5-yearold son of Malibu Moon rallied to reach contention turning for home, took command a furlong out and scored by a length and a half. It’s his third stakes victory, all at Oaklawn, winning the Poinsettia in 2021 and the $1,000,000 Oaklawn Handicap (G2) last year. Owned by Willis Horton Racing and saddled by D. Wayne Lukas, he has compiled 23-5-4-4 career record and earned $1,607,639. He was consigned to the 2020 OBS March Sale by Gene Recio, Agent, and sold for $175,000 after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5.  watch his under tack video

Marsha Naify’s Freedom Flyer took the lead at the start of Saturday’s $100,500 Wishing Well Stakes at Santa Anita and kept it to the wire, holding off a late charge to win by a neck, with fellow OBS graduate Bay Storm (April ’20) another neck back in third. It’s the first stakes victory for the 5-year-old daughter of Constitution, purchased for $450,000 by Ben McElroy/Narvick International  out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2020 OBS Spring Sale after turning in an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5. Trained by Leonard Powell, she’s now 21-4-5-4 and has earned $272,120. watch her under tack video     Spring Sale walking video
