Casa Creed captures Saratoga’s Fourstardave Handicap

LRE Racing LLC and JEH Racing LLC’s Casa Creed, last of five turning for home in Saratoga’s $500,000 Fourstardave Handicap (G1), rallied on the outside down the stretch, blew past the leaders in deep stretch won going away by a length and a half. It’s the third grade one victory for the 6-year-old son of Jimmy Creed, purchased for $15,000 out of the Janie Roper consignment at the 2017 OBS Winter Mixed Sale, Trained by Bill Mott, he has compiled a 27-7-4-4career record and earned $1,703,308.

Winchell Thoroughbreds LLC and Willis Horton Racing LLC’s Bankit, on furlough since a trip to Dubai in March, returned to action on Friday in Saratoga’s $125,000 Evan Shipman Handicap. Off the pace in the early going, he got into contention on the outside turning for home and was best by a nose after a battle to the wire. Fellow OBS graduate Brooklyn Strong (April ’20, October ’19) settled for third. That’s six stakes wins for the graded stakes placed 6-year-old son of Central Banker, trained by Steve Asmussen, now 34-7-10-5 with $1,149,655 in earnings. Consigned to the 2018 OBS March Sale by SGV Thoroughbreds LLC (Steven Venosa), Agent, he worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before he was purchased by Winchell Thoroughbreds LLC for $260,000. watch his under tack video

Elizabeth L. Dobles and Imaginary Stables’ Pudding rated off the pace in Saturday’s $65,000 Benny the Bull Stakes at Gulfstream, came around horses into the stretch, took the lead a sixteenth from home, and was best by a length at the wire. It’s the second stakes score for the graded stakes placed 7-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Two Step Salsa, trained by Elizabeth L. Dobles, now 36-10-8-9 with $388,360 in earnings. The two-time OBS graduate went through the ring at the 2016 Winer Mixed Sale and then was sold for $10,000 by Beth Bayer, Agent, at the 2016 August Yearling Sale. Trained by Elizabeth L. Dobles, he’s now 33-9-7-8 and earned $323,840.
