Monarch Stables Inc.’s Last Leaf came around horses on the turn in Saturday’s $75,000 Azalea Stakes at Gulfstream, took the lead at the head of the stretch then drew away in the lane to score by 3-1/2 lengths, with fellow OBS Stellar Ride (Apeil ’21) checking in third. It’s the second straight stakes win for the 3-year-old graded stakes placed daughter of Not This Time, trained by Ron Spatz, now 14-6-1-2 with $273,472 in earnings.
