Haughty scores in Penn National’s Penn Oaks

Bradley Thoroughbreds, Belmar Racing and Breeding, LLC, Tim Cambron, Anna Cambron, and Team Hanley’s lightly raced Haughty saved ground in the early going of the $150,000 Penn Oaks on Friday at Penn National, split horses to go after the lead on the outside on the turn, took command in the stretch and drew off to score by 4-3/4 lengths. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old filly by Empire Maker, making her first start since a third-place finish in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1). Now 4-2-0-2 with earnings of $241,200 for trainer Chad Brown, she was purchased for $310,000 out of the Julie Davies consignment at the 2021 OBS Spring Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. watch her under tack video     Spring Sale walking video
