Sonata Stable’s Arzak pressed the pace in Sunday’s $106,400 Thorncliffe Stakes at Woodbine, took the lead in the stretch and drew off to win by 3-1/4 lengths in a track record 1:02.36 for 5-1/2 furlongs over the all-weather surface. It’s the second stakes win for the 4-year-old colt by Not This Time, trained by Mike Trombetta, now 12-4-1-1 with $183,669 in earnings. He was purchased for $575,000 out of the Julie Davies consignment at the 2020 OBS Spring Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. watch his under tack video
