Change of Control scores in Keeneland’s Franklin County Stakes

Perry Harrison’s Change of Control sat just off the pace Keeneland’s $150,000 Buffalo Trace Franklin County Stakes (G3), went after the leader after turning for home, took charge a sixteenth out and scored by a length and a half. It’s the fourth stakes win for the 5-year-old daughter of Fed Biz, purchased for $95,000 out of the Kaizen Sales consignment at the 2017 OBS Selected Yearling Sale. Now 30-8-6-8 for trainer Michelle Lovell, she has earned $656,775 to date. Selected Sale conformation photo

Commonwealth New Era Racing’s Aug Lutes relaxed off the pace in Belmont’s $100,000 Glen Cove Stakes, swung wide on the turn and into the stretch, caught fellow OBS graduate Bay Storm (April ’20) inside the eighth pole and beat her to the wire by a length and a quarter. It’s the first stakes win for the lightly raced 3-year-old daughter of Midnight Lute, consigned by Hidden Brook, Agent, to the 2020 OBS Spring Sale where she was purchased for $70,000 after breezing an Under Tack quarter in :21 2/5. Trained by Mike Trombetta, she’s now 5-4-1-0 and has earned $147,165. watch her under tack video

West Point Thoroughbreds, Edwin S. Barker and Titletown Racing Stables Morning Twilight is two for two and a stakes winner after pressing the pace in the $100,000 Oklahoma Classics Lassie Stakes, taking over after turning for home and drawing away late to romp by 7-1/2 lengths. Fellow OBS graduate Circle Back Girl (March ’21) checked in third. A two-time OBS graduate, the 2-year-old daughter of Morning Line was sold by Select Sales at the 2020 Winter Mixed Sale and then purchased by West Point for $310,000 out of the Two Oaks Equine consignment at the 2021 Spring Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Trained by Steve Asmussen, she has earned $83,257. watch her under tack video     Spring Sale walking video
