Commonwealth New Era Racing’s Aug Lutes relaxed off the pace in Belmont’s $100,000 Glen Cove Stakes, swung wide on the turn and into the stretch, caught fellow OBS graduate Bay Storm (April ’20) inside the eighth pole and beat her to the wire by a length and a quarter. It’s the first stakes win for the lightly raced 3-year-old daughter of Midnight Lute, consigned by Hidden Brook, Agent, to the 2020 OBS Spring Sale where she was purchased for $70,000 after breezing an Under Tack quarter in :21 2/5. Barker and Titletown Racing Stables Morning Twilight is two for two and a stakes winner after pressing the pace in the $100,000 Oklahoma Classics Lassie Stakes, taking over after turning for home and drawing away late to romp by 7-1/2 lengths.
