William & Corinne Heiligbrodt’s Yaupon was best by a head in an unforgettable running of Saratoga’s $600,000 Forego Stakes (G1), taking the lead at the start, turning for home in front, then holding off a stretch-long challenge from Firenze Fire despite being savaged repeatedly by that one in the final sixteenth. It’s the third graded stakes win for the 4-year-old colt by Uncle Mo, who worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat before he was purchased by East Hickman Bloodstock for $255,000 out of the Wavertree Stables consignment at the 2019 OBS June Sale. He’s now 8-6-0-0 with $703,264 in earnings for trainer Steve Asmussen. watch his under tack video

LNJ Foxwoods’ Outfoxed, third in her debut in July at Saratoga, led a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of the $200,000 FTBOA Florida Sire Susan’s Girl Stakes at Gulfstream on Saturday, surging around horses to the lead on the turn, quickly opening up daylight in the stretch, and drawing away late to win by 13-1/2 lengths. Devilette (October ’20, January ’20) was second with My Sassenach (April ’21) checking in third. Outfoxed is a 2-year-old Florida-bred filly by Valiant Minister, trained by Bill Mott, now 2-1-0-1 with $132,000 in earnings. She’s a two-time OBS graduate, sold by Abbie Road Farm at the 2020 October Yearling Sale before she was purchased for $360,000 out of the Coastal Equine consignment at the 2021 Spring Sale after turning in an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5. watch her under tack video   Spring Sale walking video

It’s the third stakes win for 4-year-old colt by Mucho Macho Man, trained by Christophe Clement, now 15-4-3-1 with $428,950 in earnings. He was sold to Reeves Thoroughbreds for $185,000 by Off the Hook LLC, Agent, at the 2019 April Sale after breezing an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video
