OBS grads score six weekend stakes wins

Randy Patterson’s Verylittlecents took the lead at the start of the $125,000 Ellis Park Debutante Stakes and never looked back, scoring by 2-1/2 lengths over fellow OBS graduate Golden Sights (April ’21, October ’20). It’s the first stakes win for the 2-year-old daughter of champion OBS graduate Goldencents, also the sire of the runner-up. Trained by Randy Morse, she has two wins and a second in three starts and earned $111,980 to date. Carolyn Wilson’s Roger McQueen battled for the lead from the start of the $125,000 Ellis Park Juvenile Stakes, was headed a quarter mile out, then came again in the stretch to prove best by half a length. Third in his debut in May, the 2-year-old son of Unified is now 3-2-0-1 and has earned $112,640 for trainer Larry Rivelli. At the 2021 March Sale, his Under Tack quarter in :20 2/5 was the sale’s co-fastest at the distance and he was purchased for $530,000 out of the Wavertree Stables consignment.  watch his under tack video     March Sale walking video

Colts Neck Stables LLC’s Introduced sat just off the pace set by fellow OBS graduate Running Memories (June ’20, October ’19) in Saturday’s $102,000 Incredible Revenge Stakes at Monmouth Park. She went after her rival in the stretch, caught her a sixteenth out and beat her by three quarters of a length at the wire. It’s the third stakes win for the 5-year-old daughter of El Padrino, trained by Jorge Duarte, Jr., now 19-8-3-1 with $384,801 in earnings. At the 2018 OBS March Sale, she turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat before she was purchased for $310,000 out of the Julie Davies consignment. watch her under tack video

Bell Racing LLC’s Real Talk went right to the lead in Monmouth’s s $100,000 Jersey Shore Stakes on Sunday and never looked back en route to a 4-1/2 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Gemologist, sold for $50,000 by breeder Ocala Stud at the 2020 OBS June Sale after breezing a quarter in :21 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. Dare To Dream Stable LLC’s (Michael Faber) One Step Ahead picked a good spot to break her maiden, rating in the early going of Prairie Meadows’ $101,804 Prairie Gold Lassie Stakes, coming around horses to reach contention, taking command inside the final furlong and easing away to score by a length and a half. The 2-year-old daughter of Upstart is now 3-1-1-1 for trainer Christopher Davis and earned $72,000 to date. Fairview, LLC’s Jungle Cry battled head and head for the lead from the start of Saturday’s $52,200 Robert Dupret Derby at Golden Gate, opened daylight a furlong from home and scored by 2-1/2 lengths. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old gelding by Animal Kingdom, purchased for $55,000 out of the Kaizen Sales consignment at the 2021 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. Trained by Steven Specht, he’s now 9-3-0-3 and has earned $86,690.
