Lea Farms LLC’s Fighting Force saved ground early in Saturday’s $75,000 Not Surprising Stakes at Gulfstream, swung out to go after the leaders on the turn, took command in the stretch and drew off to score by 3-1/2 lengths. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Air Force Blue, who sped an Under Tack quarter in :20 4/5 before he was purchased for $400,000 out of the Wavertree Stables consignment at the 2020 OBS Spring Sale. Now 10-2-2-1 for trainer Jeff Engler, he has earned $127,548 to date. watch his under tack video   Spring Sale walking video

Fano Racing’s Por Que No went to the lead at the start of Monmouth’s $75,000 Boiling Springs Stakes and never looked back, drawing away down the stretch to a 4-1/2 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old daughter of Wicked Strong, trained by J. Kent Sweezey, now 7-5-0-0 with $131,215 in earnings. A three-time OBS graduate, she was sold by Summerfield Sales at the 2019 Winter Mixed Sale and then by Bobby Jones Equine at the 2019 October Selected Yearling Sale. Consigned by Top Line Sales LLC to the 2020 OBS Spring Sale, she was sold for $25,000 after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5. watch her under tack video   Selected Yearling Sale walking video
