WinStar Farm LLC and CHC Inc.’s Sainthood took the lead at the start of Saturday’s $194,000 Pennine Ridge Stakes (G3) at Belmont Park, surrendered it briefly on the backstretch, led into the stretch, was headed by fellow OBS graduate The Reds (April ’20) a furlong out, then came again and beat his rival to the wire by a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Mshawish, trained by Todd Pletcher, now 5-2-2-0 with earnings of $201,900 to date.
