Miss Auramet, The Critical Way score in Tampa Bay Downs stakes

OBS graduates posted a pair of stakes wins on Wednesday at Tampa Bay Downs

Monster Racing Stables’ The Critical Way took the lead at the start of the $100,000 Turf Dash Stakes and never gave it up, setting a disputed pace and holding on gamely in the stretch to score by half a length. That’s three stakes wins for 7-year-old son of Tizway, who breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat and was purchased for $75,000 out of the Wavertree Stables consignment at the 2016 OBS June Sale. Now 22-7-5-1 for trainer Jose Delgado, he has earned $334,168 to date. watch his under tack video

David Melin, Leon Ellman & Laurie Plesa’s Miss Auramet sat just off the pace early in the $100,000 Lightning City Stakes, went after the leaders after turning for home, took command a sixteenth out and was best by half a length at the wire.  It’s the first stakes win for the 5-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Uncaptured, trained by Eddie Plesa, Jr., now 19-8-5-2 with earnings of $349,790. A two time OBS graduate, she was sold by Summerfield, Agent, at the 2017 October Yearling Sale and then purchased at the 2018 Spring Sale for $135,000 out of the Julie Davies consignment after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat.  watch her under tack video
