Princess Noor romps in Del Mar Debutante

Zedan Racing Stables Inc.’s Princess Noor is two for two and a grade one stakes winner after a 6-1/2 length victory in the $250,500 Del Mar Debutante Stakes (G1). After an awkward break, the 2-year-old daughter of Not This Time sat just off the early pace, came around the leaders to take charge after turning for home and drew off in hand down the stretch. The 2020 OBS Spring Sale topper turned in the Under Tack Show’s fastest quarter in :20 1/5, and was purchased by Gary Young for $1,350,000 out of theTop Line Sales consignment. Sierra Racing & Sterling Stables LLC’s Raymundos Secret led from gate to wire in Saturday’s $151,500 John C. Mabee Stakes (G2) at  Del Mar, holding off a late charge and winning by a neck. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old Florida-bred filly by Treasure Beach, now 7-5-0-0 with $188,971 in earnings for trainer Phil D’Amato. Consigned by Pleasant Acres Farm, she was sold for $7,000 at the 2017 OBS October Yearling Sale.

 

Jim & Donna Daniell’s Rushie sat just off the pace in the early going of Churchill’s $500,000 Pat Day Mile Stakes (G2) on Saturday, moved to the leaders turning for home, took command a furlong out and eased away to win by a length and three quarters. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred colt by Liam’s Map, trained by Mike McCarthy, now 7-3-1-2 with $493,151 in earnings. Consigned by his breeder Ocala Stud to the 2019 OBS March Sale, he was sold to West Bloodstock for $70,000 after an Under Tack quarter in :21 3/5. watch his under tack video 

Allied Racing Stable, LLC’s By My Standards tracked the pace in Friday’s $400,000 Alysheba Stakes (G2) at Churchill Downs, took charge turning for home, turned back a challenge from the inside and drew away late to win by a length and three quarters. Fellow OBS graduate Silver Dust (March ’16) settled for third. That’s four graded stakes wins for the 4-year old colt by OBS graduate Goldencents, trained by Bret Calhoun, now 12-6-4-1 with $1,764,430 in earnings. Consigned to the 2018 OBS April Sale by Scanlon Training & Sales, Agent, he was sold to J. Stevens Bloodstock, Agent, for $150,000 after working an eighth in :10 3/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video 

William H. Lawrence’s Analyze It, idle since his third place finish in the 2018 Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1), returned to the races on Saturday with a victory in the $152,5000 Red Bank Stakes (G3) at Monmouth Park. After saving ground early, he swung out for the drive, took over quickly and drew off to score by a length and three quarters. It’s the third graded stakes win for the 5-year-old son of Point of Entry, now 9-4-3-1 with $849,400 in earnings for trainer Chad Brown. He turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat before he was purchased for $190,000 by Bradley Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent, out of the Hoppel’s Horse & Cattle Co. consignment at the 2017 OBS March Sale. watch his under tack video

Kaleem Shah, Inc.’s Madone is two for two and a stakes winner after a half length victory in Sunday’s $83,500 Del Mar Juvenile Fillies Turf Stakes. Far back after stumbling at the start, the 2-year-old filly by Vancouver (AUS) circled horses on the turn to reach contention, found a seam between horses in deep stretch and was up late for the win. Trained by Simon Callaghan, she has earned $81,300 to date. Consigned by Kirkwood Stables, Agent, to the 2020 OBS March Sale, she was sold for $125,000 to K S I, Ben McElroy, Agent, after breezing an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video

West Point Thoroughbreds, Chester Sr. & Mary Broman, Woodford Racing LLC, Siena Farm LLC & Robert Masiello’s Chestertown was bumped at the start of Friday’s $145,500 Albany Stakes at Saratoga, came around horses to take the lead turning for home, then turned back a challenge from fellow OBS graduate City Man (April ’19) and was best by three quarters of a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Tapit, who topped the 2019 OBS March Sale, purchased for $2,000,000 out of the  Sequel Bloodstock consignment after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Trained by Steve Asmussen, he’s now 8-2-3-1 and has earned $165,990 to date. watch his under tack video

Lawrence Goichman’s Myhartblongstodady took the lead at the start of Saratoga’s $145,500 Yaddo Stakes on Friday and never looked back, scoring her first stakes win by a length. It’s the third straight win for the 5-year-old mare by Scat Daddy, trained by Jorge Abreu, now 8-4-2-1 with $235,216 in earnings. Sam Wilensky’s Maries Melody stepped into stakes company for the first time in Gulfstream’s $75,000 Miss Gracie Stakes on Saturday, took the lead early and held it to the wire, scoring by a length with fellow OBS graduate Fujairah (April ’19) checking in third. Consigned to the 2019 OBS June Sale by Kaizen Sales (Richard Kent), Agent, she galloped at the Under Tack Show before she was sold for $2,700.
