July Sale begins Tuesday, July 14

The 2020 OBS July Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training & Horses of Racing Age is set for Tuesday through Thursday, July 14th – July 16th with all sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Hip No’s 1- 360 will be sold on Tuesday, Hip No’s 361- 720 will be offered Wednesday and Hip No.’s 721- 1114 will sell on Thursday. The catalog is available in the OBS website at obssales.com and in printed form at the sales grounds. Hip No.’s 1 – 1003 are in the main book, Supplements 1004 – 1107 are in a separate catalog. A third brochure contains additional supplements 993 and 1108 – 1114.

At Wednesday’s Under Tack session, Hip No. 383, a son of Half Ours consigned by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, turned in the Under Tack Show’s fastest quarter, stopping the timer in :20 1/5. The bay colt is out of All About Ju Ju, by Into Mischief, a half sister to stakes placed Gregorian Bay. (video) (walk video)

At the same session, Hip No. 492, Capri’s Son, a gray or roan colt by Shackleford consigned by Fabian Sales, sped a quarter in :20 2/5. He’s out of Capri Song, by More Than Ready, from the family of grade one stakes winner Dispute. (video) (walk video)

On Sunday, Hip No. 1030, a daughter of Bahamian Squall consigned by McKathan Bros. Sales, Agent, worked a quarter in :20 3/5, the session’s fastest.  The dark bay or brown filly is out of Up for Grabs, by First Samurai, from the family of graded stakes winner Love That Jazz. (video)

Two horses shared honors for the Under Tack Show’s fastest eighth, working the distance in :9 4/5.

At Thursday’s session, it was Hip No. 640, a chestnut filly by Not This Time consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, out of Exotic Design, by A.P. Indy, a daughter of grade one stakes winner Exotic Wood and a full sister to stakes winner Key to Power. (video) (walk video)

On Sunday it was Hip No. 983, a bay colt by Laoban consigned by Coastal Equine LLC (Jesse Hoppel), Agent, out of One Look, by Henny Hughes, a half sister to graded stakes placed Before You Know It. (video) (walk video)

Three horses tied for the Under Tack Show’s fastest three eighths, clocked in :33 flat.

At Wednesday’s session, it was Hip No. 524, I’m a Coco Pebbles, a 2-year old chestnut filly by He’s Had Enough consigned by AVP Training and Sales, Agent, out of Chocolate Almond, by Candy Ride (ARG), from the family of champion Hollywood Wildcat. (video)

On Sunday it was Hip No. 938, a 2-year-old dark bay or brown colt by Protonico consigned by Whitman Sales LLC, Agent, out of Mongolian Changa, by Brilliant Speed, from the family of grade one stakes winner High Yield. (video)

Also on Sunday, it was Hip No. 992, Chambers Creek, a 3-year-old bay filly by Goldencents consigned by Bobby Dodd, Agent, out of Secret Song, by Dunkirk, from the family of graded stakes placed stakes winner Honolua Storm. (video) (walk video)

OBS will again offer Online Bidding during the July Sale. Buyers will be able to go to the OBS website and register to gain bidding approval, then access the OBS Bidding Screen with their credentials.
