Piedi Bianchi wins Aqueduct’s Correction Stakes

Jay Oringer, Jack Bick and Madaket Stables LLC’s ’s Piedi Bianchi came running in the stretch of Aqueduct’s $102,700 Correction Stakes on Saturday and got up in the final yards to score her second stakes victory by a head. The lightly raced multiple graded stakes placed 5-year-old mare by Overanalyze, now trained by Carlos Martin, has compiled a 14-4-3-3 career record and has earned $458,100. She was purchased for $80,000 out of the Halcyon Hammock Farm consignment at the 2017 OBS March Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5.  watch her under tack video

 

Winners Circle Racing Stable’s Queen of God stayed just off the pace early in Saturday’s $150,000 Bourbonette Oaks at Turfway Park, advanced to the leaders on the turn, took command a sixteenth from home and was best by three quarters of a length. It’s the first stakes victory for the 3-year-old filly by Paynter, trained by Mike Maker, now 7-4-0-0 with earnings of $161,284. A two time OBS graduate, she went through the ring at the 2018 Winter Mixed sale and then was sold for $20,000 by Blue River Bloodstock, Inc., Agent, at the 2019 June Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in:10 2/5. watch her under tack video

Repole Stable’s Dream Bigger overcame a rough break to go after the early lead in Sunday’s $103,500 Damon Runyon Stakes at Aqueduct, shook free on the turn and cruised from there to a 7-3/4 length victory. It’s the third stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Mission Impazible, consigned by Paul Sharp, Agent, to the 2019 OBS April Sale, where he was purchased for $205,000 by Repole Stable after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Now 7-3-3-1 for trainer Rudy Rodriguez, he has earned $376,178 to date. watch his under tack video
