Happy Farm takes Aqueduct’s Fall Highweight Handicap

M and A Racing LTD’s Happy Farm pressed the pace in the early going of Saturday’s $206,100 Fall Highweight Handicap (G3) at Aqueduct, took command at the head of the stretch and held a late challenger at bay, scoring his first stakes victory by three quarters of a length. It’s the fourth straight win for the 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Ghostzapper, trained by Jason Servis, now 19-8-4-2 with $398,888 in earnings. He was purchased for $45,000 out of the Summerfield consignment at the 2015 OBS August Selected Yearling Sale.  Selected Sale conformation photo

Zaino Vantures, Inc.’s Zaino Boy stepped into Tampa Bay Downs’ $50,000 Inaugural Stakes on Saturday straight from a Gulfstream Park West maiden victory, took the lead at the start and never looked back, drawing away in the stretch to a six length victory over fellow OBS graduate No Getting Over Me (June ’19). The 2-year-old colt by Daaher, consigned by Stuart Morris, Agent, to the 2018 OBS October Yearling Sale, was sold to Susanne Zaino for $19,000. Now 4-2-0-0 for trainer Robert Raymond, he has earned $53,800 to date.
