Madaket Stables LLC, Tim Cambron, Anna Cambron and Bradley Thoroughbreds’ Kallio stayed well off the pace in the early going of the $175,000 Cardinal Stakes (G3) at Churchill Downs on Thanksgiving Day, circled horses on the turn to reach contention, ran past fellow OBS graduate Starship Jubilee (April ’15, August ’14) a sixteenth from home and beat her to the wire by three lengths. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Scat Daddy, who turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before she was purchased for $160,000 out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2017 OBS April Sale.
