The supplemental catalog to the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2019 October Yearling Sale is now available on the company’s website at obssales.com.
Twenty yearlings have been supplemented to the Selected Yearling Sale as Hip No.’s 205 – 224. Twenty-nine yearlings have been supplemented to the Open Yearling Sale, cataloged as Hip No.’s 694 – 722.
The supplemental catalog will be available in print at the sales grounds.
There are now 224 yearlings cataloged for the Selected Yearling Sale. Scheduled for Tuesday, October 8th, it will begin at 12:00 noon. The first group of Walking videos of the Selected yearlings is now available on the website and more will be added in the next few days. Videos will also be uploaded to the iPad version shortly. “The evolution from still photos to walking videos has been well received by both consignors and buyers,” said OBS Director of Sales Tod Wojciechowski. The videos provide a much more meaningful way to gain information in advance of the sale.”
There are now 422 yearlings cataloged in the Open Yearling Sale, set to begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 9th.
“We were delighted with the response to the supplemental entry program a year ago, in both the quality of the offerings and their reception in the marketplace,” said Wojciechowski. “We have again cataloged a number of horses perhaps not shown at their best advantage earlier in the season, but the additional time to mature should enhance their appeal.”
As always, the Sale will be streamed live via the OBS website as well as the DRF, TDN and BloodHorse websites.

Sales results are available on the OBS website, updated hourly during each session of every sale.
