Tobey L. Morton & Chuck Hovitz’s Crystalle was a maiden going into to Thursday’s $100,000 P. G. Johnson Stakes at Saratoga, but overcame a poor break, rallied on the turn to reach contention, and closed with a late rush to score by a neck. Trained by John Kimmel, the 2-year-old daughter of Palace Malice is now 2-1-0-1 and has earned $65,800. She turned in an Under Tack quarter in :21.1 before she was purchased for $220,000 out of the de Meric Sales consignment at the 2019 OBS April Sale. watch her under tack video

Earlier in the day, NY Final Furlong Racing Stable, Al Racing Stable and Maspeth Stables’ Irish Danzing made her debut for trainer Christophe Clement in a $78,000 maiden special weight test. The 2-year-old filly by Danza pressed the early pace, took command approaching the head of the stretch, opened daylight a furlong from home and coasted home a winner by 6-1/2 lengths. The win was worth $42,900 to the two-time OBS graduate, sold by Abbie Road Farm (Lisa McGreevy), Agent, at the 2018 October Yearling Sale before she was resold for $120,000 by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, at the 2019 April Sale after breezing a quarter in :21 flat at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video
