Five weekend stakes wins for OBS grads

Mar Racing Stable’s Hy Riverside rallied wide from off the pace in the $75,000 Big Red Stakes at Gulfstream on Sunday, collared fellow OBS graduate Mr. Jordan (April ’14, August ’13) inside the final furlong and beat him by a length. It’s the second stakes score for the 7-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Macho Uno, trained by Jorge Delgado, now 32-7-5-5 with $432,1895 in earnings. Consigned by Stephens Thoroughbreds LLC, Agent, to the 2014 OBS April Sale, he turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before he was purchased by Mar Racing for $190,000. watch his under tack video

Chris Wilkins’ Wilbo was four wide in the early going of Saturday’s $125,000 Aristides Stakes at Churchill Downs, battled fellow OBS graduate Petrov (June ’16) down the stretch and was best by a neck at the wire. That’s three stakes wins for the 7-year-old graded stakes placed son of Candy Ride (ARG), sold for $120,000 by Woodford Thoroughbreds, Agent, at the 2013 OBS April Sale after working an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Trained by Chris Hartman, he has compiled a 34-11-6-8 career record and earned $745,890 to date. watch his under tack video

Cybertec International Inc., Saul Gevertz, Lynn Gitomer, Mike Goetz, Michael Nentwig and Daniel Weiner’s Neptune’s Storm tracked the early leader in Sunday’s $150,000 Cinema Stakes at Santa Anita, took over turning for home and held off a charge by fellow OBS graduate Parsimony (March ’18) to score by a length. It’s the second straight stakes win for the 3-year-old gelding by Stormy Atlantic, trained by Richard Baltas, now 9-4-1-2 with earnings of $249,585. He was purchased for $130,000 out of the Eddie Woods consignment at the 2018 OBS April Sale after breezing a quarter in :21 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video

Ballybritt Stable LLC’s Dynatail pressed the pace in Penn National’s $100,000 Susquehanna Stakes on Saturday, opened daylight coming to the eighth pole and was ridden out to a two length victory. That’s three stakes wins for the 5-year-old daughter of Hightail, who captured the OBS Championship Stakes in 2017. Consigned to the 2016 OBS June Sale by Hoppel’s Horse & Cattle Co., Agent, she was purchased by Ballybritt for $5,000 after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 4/5. Trained by Michael Dini, she’s now 27-7-3-6 and has earned $456,910. watch her under tack video

e Five Racing Thoroughbreds’ Lovesick circled five wide around the turn to reach contention in Friday’s $75,000 Liza Jane Stakes at Gulfstream, took charge in the stretch and eased away to win by a length and three quarters. It’s the second stakes win for the lightly raced 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Adios Charlie, now 4-3-0-1 for trainer David Fawkes with $142,140 in earnings. After breezing an Under Tack quarter in :21 3/5, she was purchased for $80,000 from breeder Ocala Stud at the 2018 OBS April Sale. watch her under tack video
