Michael Lund Petersen’s Mucho Gusto went right to the lead at the start of Saturday’s $100,351 Lazaro Barrera Stakes (G3) at Santa Anita, put away an early challenger on the turn, took full command turning for home and drew away in the stretch to a 3-1/4 length victory. Fellow OBS graduate Manhattan Up (April ’18) rallied from last to finish second. It’s the third graded stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Mucho Macho Man, trained by Bob Baffert, now 6-4-1-1 with $370,800 in earnings. He was consigned by Kirkwood Stables, Agent, to the 2018 OBS March Sale, where he went through the ring after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. watch his under tack video
