Naveed Chowhan’s America’s Tale sat just off the pace in the Inside Information Stakes (G2) at Gulfstream on Saturday, moved to battle fellow OBS graduate Razorback Lady (June ’17, October ’15) in the stretch, took the lead late and eased away to beat her by a length and a quarter. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Gio Ponti, now 17-6-3-1 for trainer Bernard Flint with earnings of $390,853. Bloom Racing Stable, Madaket Stables LLC and Allen Racing LLC’s Midnight Bisou saved ground in the early going of Saturday’s $350,000 Azeri Stakes (G2) at Oaklawn, waited for room after turning for home, slipped between horses to take command in the final furlong and was best by a length at the wire. Fellow OBS graduate champion Shamrock Rose (April ’17) checked in third. That’s seven graded stakes wins 4-year-old daughter of Midnight Lute, consigned by Woodford Thoroughbreds to the 2017 OBS April Sale, where she breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before she purchased by Jeffrey Bloom for $80,000.
