Gary Barber’s Wonder Gadot has two legs up on the Canadian Triple Crown after a dominating victory in the $400,000 Prince of Wales Stakes against the boys at Ft. Erie on Tuesday. Switching tactics in the sloppy going, she went right to the lead at the start, set the pace and drew off down the stretch to a 5-3/4 length victory. It’s the fourth stakes win for the 3-year-old graded stakes winning millionaire daughter of Medaglia d’Oro, winner of the Demoiselle (G2) and Mazarine (G3) at two, who gave division leader Monomoy Girl a battle in the Kentucky Oaks (G1) in May. She can complete Canada’s Triple Crown with a win in the Breeders’ Stakes on the turf at Woodbine in August. She was purchased for $325,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2017 April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5, she’s now 13-5-4-3 for trainer Mark Casse, and has earned $1,381,261 to date. watch her under tack video
