Spring Sale Update Highlights

  • Hip No. 15 – At Tampa Bay Downs on March 25, OBS March graduate Florida Fuego took the Stonehedge Farm South Sophomore Fillies Stakes. She’s a half sister to Hip No. 15, a filly by Adios Charlie.
  • Hip No. 41 – That same afternoon at Tampa, OBS August graduate The X, a full brother to Hip No. 41, a colt by Soldat, was third in the DRF Bets Sophomore Turf Stakes.
  • Hip No. 68 is a filly by Scat Daddy, whose half brother, graded stakes winning OBS April graduate Calculator, increased his earnings to over $660,000 with a third place finish in Santa Anita’s Daytona Stakes (G3) on February 24.
  • Hip No. 195, a colt by Maclean’s Music, is a half brother to OBS January graduate Dontmesswithjoanne, who picked up her first stakes victory in the Red Camelia Stakes on March 17 at Fair Grounds.
  • Hip No. 276 – OBS August graduate Discreet Lover picked up his first graded stakes victory in Aqueduct’s Excelsior Stakes (G3) on April 7. He’s a half brother to Hip No. 276, a colt by He’s Had Enough.
  • Hip No. 281, a colt by Strong Mandate, is a half brother to grade one stakes winner Spectator, who increased her earnings to over $300,000 with a second place finish to OBS April graduate Midnight Bisou in the Santa Anita Oaks (G1) on April 7.
  • Hip No. 333, a colt by Bodemeister, has a newly stakes placed half sister in Mermaid of Honor, second in the Stonehedge Farm South Sophomore Fillies Stakes at Tampa on March 25.
  • Hip No. 352, a colt by Tapit, is out of a half sister to the dam of Vino Rosso, one of the favorites for the Kentucky Derby (G1) after his victory in last Saturday’s Wood Memorial Stakes (G2) at Aqueduct
  • Hip No. 353 – Newly minted stakes winner Nine Route, who scored in Aqueduct’s Gander Stakes on February 18, is a half brother to Hip No. 353, a daughter of Central Banker.
  • Hip No. 403, Wicked Wizard, by Speightstown, is a half brother to champion Good Magic, who is en route to the Kentucky Derby (G1) after a convincing victory in Keeneland’s Blue Grass Stakes (G2) last Saturday.
  • Hip No. 558 – Box of Chocolates, a Candy Ride (ARG) colt selling as Hip No. 558, is a full brother to newly graded stakes placed Leofric, second in Oaklawn’s Razorback Handicap (G3) on February 19.
  • Hip No. 567, a colt by Fed Biz, is a half brother to stakes winner Cosmo Charlie, second on February 17 in the Azizi Developments Firebreak Stakes (G3) at Meydan.
  • Hip No. 576 – OBS March graduate Blended Citizen, winner of the Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3) at Turfway Park on March 17, is out of a graded stakes winning half sister to the dam of Hip No. 576, a colt by Goldencents.
  • Hip No. 584, a daughter of He’s Had Enough, is a half sister to newly minted stakes winning OBS graduate Mother of Dragons (January ’15), who took Golden Gate’s Camilla Urso Stakes on March 17.
  • Hip No. 622, Shut It Up, a filly by Violence is out of a half sister to graded stakes placed Stage Magic, dam of undefeated Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Justify.
  • Hip No. 665 – Graded stakes winning OBS April graduate Faypien, a half sister to Hip No. 665, a daughter of Munnings, added a victory in Sunland Park’s Harry Henson Stakes to her resume on March 25.
  • Hip No. 723, a filly by Hard Spun, has a newly stakes placed half sister in Ferdinanda, second in Gulfstream’s Sanibel Island Stakes on March 31.
  • Hip No. 876 – Marley’s Freedom, a half sister to Hip No. 876, a son of Verrazano, earned black type for the first time on March 24 with a second place finish in Santa Anita’s Santa Monica Stakes (G2).
  • Hip No. 877, a colt by Shakin It Up, is a half brother to first time grade one stakes winner Bowies Hero, winner of the Frank E. Kilroe Mile Stakes (G1) on March 10.
  • Hip No. 934 – OBS March graduate Swing and Sway, a half sister to the stakes winning dam of Hip No. 934, a colt by Speightstown, has been busy at Oakawn, third in the Spring Fever on March 3 and then winning the Carousel on April 7.
  • Hip No. 957, a colt by Graydar, is a half brother to grade one stakes placed Princess Warrior, third in the Gulfstream Park Oaks (G2) on March 31.
  • Hip No. 978 – Last Voyage, a full brother to Hip No. 978, an Eskendereya colt, was third at Meydan on March 15 in the UAE Two Thousand Guineas (G3).
  • Hip No. 984, She’s an Introvert, a daughter of Temple City, is a half sister to graded stakes winner Strike Lightning, who captured Camarero’s Clasico Jorge Washington Stakes (G3) on February 18.
  • Hip No. 1021, a colt by More Than Ready, is a half brother to Remsen Stakes (G2) winner and Derby prospect Catholic Boy, second on February 10 in the Sam F. Davis Stakes (G3) at Tampa Bay Downs.
  • Hip No. 1121, a colt by Cairo Prince, is out of a half sister to undefeated Army Mule, three for three and runaway winner of Aqueduct’s Carter Handicap (G1) last Saturday.
  • Hip No. 1190 – Graded stakes winner Fear the Cowboy, a half brother to Hip No. 1190, a daughter of Overanalyze, added a third place finish in the Santa Anita Handicap (G1) to his resume on March 10.
