Filly by The Factor fastest under challenging conditions at first Spring Sale Under Tack session

Battling a stiff headwind and unseasonable temperatures, Hip No. 30, a daughter of The Factor consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, sped a quarter in :21 1/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the opening session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2018 Spring Sale of Two Year Olds in Training. The gray or roan filly is out of graded stakes winner Another Romance, by Saint Anddan.

 

 

Four horses breezed the distance in :21 2/5.

  • Hip No. 43, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is a bay filly by Quality Road out of Argue, by Storm Cat, a half sister to stakes placed Chat.
  • Hip No. 92, a chestnut filly by Fed Biz also consigned by Eddie Woods, is out of grade one stakes placed Be Smart, by Smarty Jones, a half sister to stakes winner Road Ready.
  • Eddie Woods also consigned Hip No. 98, a dark bay or brown colt by The Factor out of stakes winner Beyond the Reach, by Sahm.
  • Hip No. 115, consigned by Hoby & Layna Kight, is a dark bay or brown filly by Orb out of Blush Again, by Kitten’s Joy, a full sister to graded stakes winner Derby Kitten.

A trio of youngsters turned in quarters in :21 3/5.

  • Hip No. 15, a daughter of Adios Charlie consigned by Ocala Stud, is out of Almost a Valentine, by High Cotton, a half sister to grade one winner Rigoletta. The bay filly is a half sister to OBS March graduate Florida Fuego, winner of the Stonehedge Farm South Sophomore Fillies Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs on March 25.
  • Hip No. 149, consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, a gray or roan filly by Congrats out of stakes winner Candybedandy, by Holy Bull, is a full sister to stakes placed Victory is Sweet.
  • Hip No. 171, a bay filly by Dialed In also consigned by Wavertree, is out of Chalonitka, by Empire Maker, a half sister to stakes placed Envoyer.

  • Hip No. 33, consigned by Thoroughbred Champions Training Center LLC, is a dark bay or brown colt by Temple City out of stakes winner A.P. Andie, by Star de Naskra, and a half brother to graded stakes winning OBS graduate Mucho Mas Mucho.
  • Hip No. 45, a bay colt by Paynter consigned by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, is a half brother to graded stakes winning OBS graduate Yara, out of Ashlee’s Lady, by Gilded Time.
  • Hip No. 88, Notte Oscura, consigned by Pick View LLC, Agent, is a bay colt by Astrology out of stakes winner Bella Notte, by Quick Cut.
  • Hip No. 101, a bay colt by Lookin At Lucky consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, is out of Bikini Beauty, by Bernardini, a daughter of graded stakes winner Beautyandthebeast (GB).

Two horses shared honors for the session’s fastest eighth, stopping the timer in :10 flat.

  • Hip No. 127, a bay filly by Quality Road consigned by King’s Equine, Agent, is out of Bridles Prayer, by Unbridled’s Song, a daughter of grade one stakes winning River’s Prayer.
  • Hip No. 144, consigned by Randy Miles, Agent, is a dark bay or brown colt by Strong Mandate out of Callous Effect, by Majestic Warrior, a half sister to stakes winner Miss Frost.

Seven horses turned in eighths in :10 1/5.

  • Hip No. 26, a bay colt by Goldencents consigned by Woodside Ranch, is out of stakes placed Angels Trace, by Bellamy Road.
  • Hip No. 121, a chestnut New Year’s Day filly consigned by Grassroots Training & Sales LLC, is out of Born Special, by Pulpit, from the family of grade one stakes winner Jersey Girl.
  • Hip No. 152, consigned by Off the Hook LLC, Agent for Gelfenstein Farm, is a dark bay or brown filly by Noble Mission (GB) out of Capeslew (IRE), by Cape Cross, from the family of stakes winner Lantana Lady.
  • Off the Hook also consigned Hip No. 166, a chestnut colt by Violence, a half brother to graded stakes placed Speed Demon out of graded stakes placed stakes winner Celestial Legend, by City Zip.
