Colt by Alpha fastest at second Spring Sale Under Tack session

The second session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2018 Spring Sale of Two Year Olds in Training was held under ideal conditions, a far cry from the unseasonable temperatures and stiff headwinds that prevailed at Monday’s opening session. Hip No. 367, a son of Alpha consigned by Jose Munoz, Agent, took advantage of the weather and turned in a quarter in :20 3/5, the session’s fastest work at the distance. The bay colt is a half brother to stakes winner Force out of Forever Valentine, by Silver Deputy.

  • Hip No. 211, a dark bay or brown colt by Uncaptured consigned by Craig L. Wheeler, Agent, is out of Cold Forest, by Forestry, from the family of graded stakes winner Rotsaluck.
  • Hip No. 221, consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, is a bay colt by Congrats out of graded stakes placed Corderosa, by Aldebaran.
  • Hip No. 313, Dark Ages, a bay colt by J P’s Gusto consigned by Journeyman Bloodstock Services, Inc. (Brent & Crystal Fernung), Agent, is out of Ephyra, by Corinthian, a half sister to graded stakes placed stakes winner Leonides.

Hip No. 237, a bay filly by Yes It’s True consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, was the only horse to breeze a quarter in :21 flat. She’s a half sister to stakes placed Cryptos’ Holiday out of graded stakes placed stakes winner Cryptos’ Best.
