Kantharos, Real Solution, Shackleford and The Factor colts fastest at March Under Tack Show’s second session.

The second session of the Under Tack Show for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2018 March Sale of Two Year Olds in Training was held under ideal conditions, in marked contrast to the unseasonable temperatures and gusting winds that prevailed at Thursday’s opening session.  Colts by Kantharos, Real Solution, Shackleford and The Factor took full advantage and sped quarters in :20 3/5 to share honors for the fastest work at the distance.

Hip No. 249, bay colt by Shackleford consigned by Thoroughbred Champions Training Center LLC, is out of Corleone, by Indian Charlie, a half sister to stakes winner Swede.

Hip No. 279, also consigned by Thoroughbred Champions, is a bay colt by The Factor out of graded stakes winner Dream About, by Cherokee Run, and a half brother to graded stakes winner Deeply Undervalued.

Hip No. 285, a bay colt by Real Solution consigned by Top Line Sales LLC, Agent, is a half brother to graded stakes winner Kitten Kaboodle out of Easy Slam, by Grand Slam.

Hip No. 368, consigned by Tom McCrocklin, Agent, is a chestnut colt by Kantharos out of Home in Time, by Came Home, from the family of grade one stakes winner Take Charge Lady.

The time for the fastest eighth was :9 4/5, posted by eight youngsters.

Hip No. 193, a bay filly by Concord Point consigned by SGV Thoroughbreds LLC (Steven Venosa), Agent, a half sister to stakes winner Concealedwithakiss out of stakes placed Bold Outlook, by Chief Seattle.

Hip No. 201 is a chestnut colt by Itsmyluckyday out of graded stakes winner Briecat, by Adcat, consigned by Golden Legacy Stable LLC, Agent.

Hip No. 223, consigned by de Meric Sales, Agent, is a gray or roan colt by Cairo Prince out of Central Moves, by Pico Central (BRZ), from the family of graded stakes placed stakes winner Hi Tech Honeycomb.

Hip No. 266, consigned by SBM Training and Sales, Agent, is a bay colt by Verrazano out of Deceit, by Danzig, and a half brother to graded stakes placed stakes winner Afleet Deceit.

He’s also a half brother to newly stakes placed Eight Town, third last Saturday in the Gulfstream Park Sprint (G3).

Hip No. 341, a bay filly by Tapizar consigned by Brick City Thoroughbreds, Agent, is out of Good Witch Glinda, by Unbridled’s Song, from the family of graded stakes winner End Sweep.

Hip No. 303, a dark bay or brown colt by Cajun Breeze consigned by Shadybrook Farm, Inc., Agent, turned in the session’s only three eighths breeze, working the distance in :33 3/5. He’s out of Expect a Check by Medaglia d’Oro, a daughter of graded stakes winner Expect an Angel.
