Peter Deutsch’s Take Charge Paula tracked the pace in Saturday’s $200,000 Forward Gal Stakes (G3) at Gulfstream Park, swung out to take command turning for home and pulled away down the stretch, hitting the wire in front by 3-1/2 lengths. It’s the third straight stakes win and fourth overall for the 3-year-old daughter of Take Charge Indy, now trained for her new owner by Kiaran McLaughlin. Consigned to the 2017 OBS March Sale by Envision Equine on behalf of E. J. Sipus Jr. and sold for $50,000, she’s now 6-5-1-0 and has earned $308,520 to date. watch her under tack video

It’s the second stakes win for the 6-year-old graded stakes placed son of Candy Ride (ARG), purchased for $120,000 out of the Woodford Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2013 OBS April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. Now 24-9-3-6 for trainer Chris Hartman, he has earned $470,681.  watch his under tack video
