Keith Plaisance’s Pacific Pink was unhurried in the early going of Delta Downs’ $145,000 LA Bred Premier Night Distaff Stakes on Saturday, but came around horses on the turn to reach the leaders, took charge in the stretch and drew away late to win by two lengths. It’s the seventh stakes win for the 6-year-old daughter of Private Vow, who turned in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before being purchased by Nick Hines, Agent, for $90,000 out of the Robert Brewer consignment at the 2014 OBS April Sale. Ivery Sisters Racing’s Monte Man picked up his first stakes win on Saturday at Delta Downs, rallying from well off the pace, wearing down the leaders, and getting up the final yards to win the $120,000 LA Bred Premier Night Sprint Stakes by a neck. That’s three wins in a row for the 5-year-old gelding by Custom for Carlos, trained by Ron Fauncheux, now 24-6-4-3 with $226,055 in earnings.  Consigned by Royal Thoroughbred International to the 2015 OBS March Sale, he was sold for $125,000 after breezing an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video

Fellow OBS graduate Babes Cylver Slew (April ’14) checked in third. It’s the third straight stakes victory and fifth win in a row for the 5-year-old daughter of Include, now 15-10-2-2 with $418,636 in earnings for trainer Weston Martin. She was sold for $40,000 by Paul Sharp, Agent, at the 2015 OBS June Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5. watch her under tack video
