Ironhorse Racing Stable LLC’s Bucchero tracked the leader into the stretch of Saturday’s $200,000 Woodford Stakes (G2) at Keeneland, took command inside the eighth pole and eased away to win by a length and three quarters. It’s the first graded stakes victory and fifth stakes score for the 5-year-old son of Kantharos, trained Tim Glyshaw, now 22-9-6-1 with $638,366 in earnings. The 2-year-old daughter of Medaglia d’Oro breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 before she was purchased for $325,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2017 OBS April Sale.
