Reddam Racing LLC’s Irap came from off the pace to catch odds-on favorite Girvin in the final sixteenth of Saturday’s $500, 000 Ohio Derby (G3) at Thistledown and outfought him in the final strides to win by a nose. Fellow OBS graduate Untrapped (April ’16) took third with a good stretch run. It’s the second graded stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Tiznow, who broke his maiden in Keeneland’s Blue Grass Stakes (G2) in April. The newest OBS millionaire, he’s now 10-2-3-1 and has earned $1,072,600 to date for trainer Doug O’Neill. Consigned by Bobby Dodd, Agent, to the 2016 OBS March Sale, he breezed an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before he was purchased by Dennis O’Neill for $300,000. watch his under tack video
