The nomination form for the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2017 Selected Sale of Yearlings is now available via the OBS website at: obscatalog.com/OBSPAGES/2017OctoberNominationForm.pdf

The Selected Yearling Sale, long held in August, is now scheduled for Tuesday, October 10th. The Open Yearling Sale will be held Wednesday and Thursday, October 11th and 12th.

In addition to getting a new home on the calendar, nominations to the Selected Yearling Sale are now free. Following examination by the selection committee, nominees will be notified as to acceptance by August 3rd.

“We believe the October time slot offers a better overall fit for both consignors and buyers,” said OBS president Tom Ventura when the change was announced. “Moving the sale from August to the milder October weather will be a plus for buyers, consignors and horses.”
