Danny J. Chen’s Yorkiepoo Princess shook off a slow start, took charge of Saturday’s $100, 000 Ruthless Stakes at Aqueduct on the turn and drew away to a 7-1/2 length victory. Fellow OBS graduate Tiz Rae Anna (April ’16) settled for second. That’s two straight stakes wins for the two time OBS graduate, sold by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent, at the 2015 August Sale before she was purchased by Mr. Chen for $8,000 out of the Niall Brennan Stables consignment at the 2016 April Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. Trained by Edward Barker, the 3-year-old Florida-bred daughter of Kantharos is now 6-3-0-0 and has earned $154,811 to date. watch her under tack video

BB Horses’ Sweet On Smokey took the $75,000 What A Summer Stakes at Laurel for the second straight year, slipping through on the rail in the final sixteenth and scoring by half a length. It’s the fourth stakes win for the 5-year-old daughter of Successful Appeal, trained by Claudio Gonzalez, now 35-10-8-5 with $425,137 in earnings. She breezed an Under Tack quarter in :21 3/5 before she was sold for $20,000 at the 2014 OBS April Sale by Tom McCrocklin, Agent. watch her under tack video
