Hip No. 297, Hill Croome, a 3-year-old son of American Lion, breezed three eighths in :33 4/5 to post the fastest work at the distance at the Under Tack Show for the Horses of Racing Age section of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2017 Winter Mixed Sale. Consigned by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, the unraced gelding is out of stakes placed Sauternes, by Gold Legend, a full sister to stakes winner Princess Turandot.
Two horses worked three eighths in :34 flat. Hip No. 233, Voo Dude, consigned by All Dreams Equine, Agent, is an unraced 3-year-old gray or roan colt by First Dude out of Itsgetineardawn, by Lion Hearted, a daughter of stakes winner Winnie D. from the family of champion Holy Bull. Hip No. 262, River of Love, is an unraced bay colt by Majesticperfection consigned by RiceHorse Stables (Brandon and Ali Rice), out of Sing Our Song, by Miner’s Mark, a daughter of graded stakes winner Sweetest Chant.
Hip No. 253, Dubai Princess, consigned by Corona Leaders Cup, Agent, worked the session’s fastest half mile, stopping the timer in :47 2/5. She’s an unraced 3-year-old bay filly by Overdriven out of Poitrine, by Gulch, and is a half sister to stakes placed Raise the Bridle.
Hip No. 205, Salute the Street, worked a half in :47 4/5. An unraced dark bay or brown 3-year-old colt by Salute the Sarge consigned by All Dreams Equine, Agent, he’s a half brother to stakes winner Kylie’s Cutie out of Beat the Street, by Corinthian.

Horses in the Racing Age section, Hip No.’s 193 – 297, will be offered immediately following the Preferred session on Wednesday, January 25th. The 105 horses in the Racing Age section include 16 older horses, 55 three-year-olds and 34 two-year-olds, cataloged as Hip No’s 193 – 275 in the regular catalog and Hip No’s 276 – 297 in the Supplemental catalog, available in printed form at the sales grounds.
A total of 541 horses are cataloged for the Preferred and Open sessions of the Sale, scheduled to begin Wednesday, January 25th with Hip Numbers 1 – 192 selling in the Consignor Preferred session, followed immediately by the Horses of Racing Age section. Hip Numbers 401 – 749 in the Open Session will be offered Thursday, January 26th.
