Ranlo Investments LLC’s Lady Shipman, on vacation since her narrow defeat in the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint (G1), returned to action on Saturday at Gulfstream Park, making short work of the $75,000 Ladies Turf Sprint Stakes. Taking the lead shortly after the start, the 4-year-old Midshipman filly drew away with ease in the stretch and scored by 2-3/4 lengths. Bred Premier Night Championship Stakes at Delta Down on Saturday, taking charge late and drawing off to win by a length and a quarter.
