Winter Mixed Sale’s Racing Age supplements now online

Supplements to the Horses of Racing Age section of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2016 Winter Mixed Sale are now online on the OBS website at http://obssales.com. A printed catalog of the supplemented horses is now available at the OBS Sales office.

The online catalog’s main page contains a link to a sortable master index providing searchable pedigree and consignor information as well as access to pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed. The main page also contains links to complete information regarding the Repository and updated Conditions of Sale, effective at the Winter Mixed Sale and all future OBS auctions.

The 46 horses supplemented to the Racing Age section  bring the total to 115, including 28 older horses, 54 three-year-olds and 33 two-year-olds, cataloged as Hip No’s 525 – 639. The optional Under Tack Show is scheduled for Monday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m.

Graded stakes winner Reporting Star will sell as Hip No. 639. The 6-year-old gelding by Circular Quay, winner of Woodbine’s Play the King Stakes (G2) in June, comes into the sale off a victory in the El Prado at Gulfstream in December with earnings of $589,546.

Miss Margaret (Hip No. 621), a 4-year-old stakes placed filly by Bwana Charlie, was on the board in the Honey Ryder and Sanibel Island Stakes at Gulfstream last year.

Hip No 593, One More Shot, 3-year-old colt by Trappe Shot, will be offered on the heels of an impressive eight length victory at first asking in a Maiden Special Weight test on December 23.

Hip No. 555, Time Will Tell, a colt by Malibu Moon out of stakes placed What Time Is It, was second in an Aqueduct Maiden Special Weight in his only start on December 19th.

Harbor Pilot, Hip No.577, 3-year-old half brother to stakes winner Tensas Harbor, won at first asking at Gulfstream Park on Sunday, January 10th.

Lillie’s Answer (Hip No. 623), broke her maiden at first asking last summer. The 4-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy was third in a Tampa Bay turf allowance on January 2nd in her only other start.

The 2-year-olds include Hip No. 534, Tizuis or Tizuaint, a half brother by Tizdejavu to stakes winner Mellow Fellow; Hip No. 553, Wing and Wheel, a colt by Wilburn, a half brother to graded stakes placed stakes winning OBS graduate Devil’s Cave; Hip No 569, filly by Majestic Warrior out of multiple graded stakes winner Ebony Breeze, and Hip No. 581, a half brother to stakes winner Westmoreland Girl by Kantharos.

A total of 522 horses are cataloged for the Preferred and Open sessions of the Sale, scheduled to begin Wednesday, January 27th with Hip Numbers 1 – 230 selling in the Consignor Preferred session.

Hip Numbers 231 – 524 in the Open Session will be offered Thursday, January 28th followed immediately by Horses of Racing Age section.

Both sessions begin at 10:30 a.m. As always, the sale and Under Tack Show will be streamed live via the OBS website and the Blood-Horse and DRF websites.

The OBS Championship Stakes races, run this year again in conjunction with the Winter Mixed Sale, are set for Tuesday, January 26th, with first post at 1:00 p.m.
