Gary Barber’s Appealing Tale went right to the lead in the $400, 000 Kelso Handicap (G2) at Belmont and never looked back, coasting to victory by a length and three quarters. It’s the second straight graded stakes win for the well traveled 5-year-old gelding by Tale of the Cat, who took Del Mar’s $235,000 Pat O’Brien Stakes (G2) in his last start. Purchased by trainer Peter Miller for $95,000 out of the Hartley/De Renzo Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2012 OBS March Sale after breezing an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5, he’s now 25-6-6-6 and has earned $773,222 to date. watch his under tack video

Town & Country Farms’  Stopchargingmaria renewed her rivalry with champion Untapable in Sunday’s $200,000 Shuvee Handicap (G3) at Saratoga, stalked her from the start, drew even after turning for home and scored by three quarters of a length after a stretch-long battle. It’s the seventh graded stakes win for the 4-year-old daughter of Tale of the Cat, acquired from Repole Stables, who purchased her for $220,000 out of the Woodford Thoroughbreds consignment at the 2013 OBS March Sale after she breezed an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. Abdullah Saeed Almaddah’s Green Mask had an eventful journey en route to his first stakes win, looking for room before altering course in the final furlong and drawing clear to win Saturday’s $98,000 Paradise Creek Stakes on the Belmont Park turf course by a length and three quarters, with fellow OBS graduate Chart Topper (June ’13) checking in third. Purchased for $150,000 out of the Casse Sales LLC (Justin Casse) consignment at the 2013 OBS April Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5, the 3-year-old colt by Mizzen Mast is now 5-3-0-0 and has earned $135,600. watch his under tack video

 Ranlo Investments LLC’s Lady Shipman took command of Sunday’s $100,000 Smart N Fancy Stakes at Saratoga on the turn, then cruised from there to a 2-3/4 length victory in a course record 1:00 2/5 for the 5-1/2 furlongs on the turf. It’s the fourth straight stakes win for the 3-year-old filly by Midshipman, winner of the 2015 OBS Sprint Stakes in track record time last January. Trained by Kathleen O’Connell, she has six stakes wins, a 10-8-0-2 record and has earned $338,800 to date. Consigned by Pleasant Acres Farm, Agent, to the 2014 OBS April Sale, she sped an eighth in :9 4/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video

 Martin Racing Stable LLC’s Marchman tracked the early pace, took command a quarter mile from home and then drew off to win Churchill’s $167,550 Twin Spires Turf Sprint Stakes (G3) by a length and a half. It’s the second straight graded stakes win for the 4-year-old Sharp Humor colt, sold for $90,000 by Seahorse Stables LLC, Agent, at the 2012 OBS April Sale he breezed a quarter in :21 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. Alto Racing LLC’s Sweet Whiskey got her 3-year-old campaign off to a rousing start on Saturday at Gulfstream, taking charge of the $100,000 Old Hat Stakes (G3) a furlong from the wire and drawing away to a 2-3/4 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Co Cola (June ;13).  It’s the first stakes win for the daughter of Old Fashioned, sold for $300,000 at the 2013 OBS March Sale by Eddie Woods, Agent, after working an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. Ken & Sarah Ramsey’s Stephanie’s Kitten successfully defended her title in Saturday’s $500,000 Flower Bowl Stakes (G1) at Belmont Park, wearing down front-running Danza Cavallo in the final furlong and scoring by a length and a half. Trained by Chad Brown, her eight graded stakes wins include four grade ones, and she has compiled a 24-10-4-4 record and earned $3,192,904. The 6-year-old daughter of Kitten’s Joy was consigned by Eddie Woods, Agent, to the 2011 OBS April Sale where she turned in an eighth in :11 flat at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video

C R K  Stable’s Kobe’s Back won his second graded stakes race the same way he won his first, coming from last with a powerful late run and roaring past the leaders in the final yards to score by three quarters of a length in the $300,000 Commonwealth Stakes(G3) at Keeneland. Trained by Peter Eurton, the 4-year-old colt by Flatter is now 11-3-2-1 and has earned $506,250. He was sold for $480,000 by Niall Brennan Stables, Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale after an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video

Antonino Miuccio’s Palace cut the corner along the rail turning for home in the $500,000 Forego Stakes (G1) at Saratoga, bounded to the lead and cruised from there to a 3-1/2 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Big Business (March ’10), running the seven furlongs in a slick 1:21 4/5. It’s the second straight grade one win at the Spa for the 5-year-old son of City Zip, now 21-11-5-2 with $1,309,550 in earnings. He was sold for $160,000 by Crupi’s New Castle Farm, Agent, at the 2011 OBS March Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. watch his under tack video

 Jerry Hollendorfer and Green Smith’s Wild Dude is closing in on a million after his stretch drive carried him to a neck victory over fellow OBS graduate Kobe’s Back (March ’13) in Saturday’s $300,000 Santa Anita Sprint Championship Stakes (G1). The pair were also one-two in Del Mar’s Pat O’Brien Stakes (G1) in July. That’s four graded stakes wins for the 5-year-old Florida-bred son of Wildcat Heir, trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, now 18-7-4-4 with $954,887 in earnings. The two-time OBS graduate was sold first by Perrone Sales, Agent, at the 2010 Fall Mixed Sale and then resold for $42,000 by Costanzo Sales at the 2012 April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. watch his under tack video

Black Hawk Stable’s Alsvid spoiled reigning sprint champion Work All Week’s 2015 debut in Churchill’s $100,000 Aristides Stakes (G3) on Saturday, charging past him in the stretch and drawing off to a two length victory. It’s the third straight win and second graded stakes score for the Chris Hartman trained 6-year-old son of Officer, sold for $55,000 by Stephens Thoroughbreds, Agent, at the 2011 OBS April Sale after he sped an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show. With nine stakes wins to his credit, he has earned $994,225 to date and his record stands at 30-13-7-3. watch his under tack video

Michael House’s Big John B tried stakes company for the first time Saturday in the $201,250 Del Mar Handicap (G2), rallied on the turn to take command in the stretch then drew off to 5-1/4 length victory. It’s the sixth win in nine starts this year for the 5-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Hard Spun, now 28-11-5-3 with earnings of $458,805. After working an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5 he was sold for $30,000 by Flying Fish, Agent, at the 2011 OBS June Sale. watch his under tack video
