Strict Compliance scores in Monmouth’s Boiling Springs Stakes

Klaravich Stables and William H. Lawrence’s Strict Compliance scored her first graded stakes win on Saturday at Monmouth Park, closing relentlessly down the stretch and getting up in the final jump to win the $105, 000 Boiling Springs Stakes (G3) by a nose. It’s the second stakes win for the 3-year-old Florida-bred filly by Into Mischief, sold for $100,000 by Casse Sales LLC (Justin Casse), Agent for Kinsman Farm, at the 2014 OBS June Sale after turning in an eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show.  Trained by Chad Brown, she’s now 7-4-1-1 and has earned $302,600. watch her under tack video

Teresa and David Palmer’s Cajun Schill stepped into stakes company for the first time in Saturday’s $300,000 Calumet Farm Juvenile Stakes  at Kentucky Downs, rallied wide on the turn then ran past fellow OBS graduate John Q. Public (March ’15) in the final furlong and scored by a length and three quarters.  The 2-year-old son of Artie Schiller, trained by Bill Kaplan, is now 4-2-1-1 and has earned $211,660. Consigned by Winners Circle Thoroughbreds LLC to the 2015 OBS March Sale, he turned in a eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video

Rockingham Ranch’s Hollywood Don jumped from a maiden win on the Del Mar turf course into the Saturday’s $101,500 Del Mar Juvenile Turf  Stakes and the 2-year-old colt by Tapit came running in the stretch, hit the front at the eighth pole and eased away to win by a length and a half. After an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 at the 2015 OBS April Sale, he was purchased for $245,000 by Rockingham Ranch from de Meric Sales, Agent for Golden Legacy Farm.  Trained by Peter Miller, he’s now 3-2-0 and has earned $102,250. watch his under tack video

Tucci Stables’ undefeated Riker is three for three with two stakes wins after leading a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of the Woodbine’s $125,750 Swynford Stakes on Saturday from start to finish. Tizzarunner (March ’15) was 2-1/2 lengths back in second, a length in front of Majestic Slew (April ‘15). The 2-year-old son of Include was sold for $60,000 by Paul Sharp, Agent, at the 2015 OBS April Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 2/5.  Trained by Nicholas Gonzalez, has earned $84,154 to date. watch his under tack video

Curragh Stables’ Neck N Halo captured her first stakes victory on Monday, battling her way to a hard fought neck decision in Woodbine’s $104,000 Avowal Stakes. It’s the second straight win for the 4-year-old filly by Singing Saint, trained by John Terranova, leaving her with an 8-4-1-0 record and $136,249 in earnings. After working in eighth in :10 1/5 at the Under Tack Show, she was sold for $75,000 by Mayberry Farm, Agent, at the 2013 OBS June Sale. watch her under tack video

D. J. Stale LLC’s Hi Holiday picked up her first stakes win in Sunday’s $77,500 Sorority Stakes at Monmouth Park, closing with a rush from next to last and getting up late to win by a neck. The 2-year-old Harlan’s Holiday filly, trained by Joe Orseno, is two for two and has earned $65,520. She worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5 before she was purchased for $110,000 out of the Eisaman Equine consignment at the 2015 OBS April Sale.  watch her under tack video

Riversedge Racing Stables ‘ Bootleggers Wife is now three for three with two stakes wins after coming from just off the pace to win Friday’s $51,850 Bird of Pay Stakes at Northlands Park by 2-3/4 lengths. The 2-year-old Florida-bred filly by Leroidesanimaux (BRZ) was consigned by Strouds Lane Farm LLC to the 2013 Fall Mixed Sale and sold to Riversedge for $55,000. Trained by Tim Mycroft, she has earned $53,934 to date.
