Fall Mixed Sale’s Racing Age catalog now online

The catalog for the Horses of Racing Age Section of the Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company’s 2015 Fall Mixed Sale is now available on the OBS website at http://obssales.com. It is included in the searchable and sortable master index, which provides links to past performances, under tack videos, pedigree and consignor information as well as pedigree updates occurring since the catalog was printed.

The iPad version of the entire catalog is available via the equineline Sales Catalog App. The App allows users to download and view the catalog, record notes and also provides innovative search, sort and rating capability. There are 97 horses cataloged in the Racing Age section, which begins with Hip No. 465 immediately following the Open session of the Fall Mixed Sale. A printed catalog for this section will be available at the sales grounds. The optional Under Tack Show is scheduled for Monday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. OBS is still accepting supplementary entries for the Racing Age Section.

The Fall Mixed Sale begins with the Consignor Preferred session on Tuesday, October 13th with Hip Numbers 1- 204. Hip Numbers 205 – 464, cataloged in the Open Session, will be offered on Wednesday, October 14th. Both sessions begin at 10:30 a.m.

The Sale and Under Tack Show will be streamed live via the OBS, Blood-Horse and DRF websites.

The Racing Age section includes a number of horses with black type credentials, including Hip No. 553, the lightly raced 3-year-old stakes winning filly Pyrite Blue Magna, winner of two of three starts at two and her only race this year. In addition, several 2-year-olds in the sale were winners in Maiden Special Weight company in their only trips to the post. Hip No. 494, Final Encore, a colt by Scat Daddy, was a winner at Gulfstream on September 20th. Pyrite Tonight, Hip No. 512, a filly by In Summation, was a winner in her only start in August and Hip No. 520, Point of No Return, a daughter of Concord Point, won at first asking at Churchill last spring.

  The Racing Age Section also features unraced 2-year-olds sired by an impressive group of stallions that includes Awesome Again, Bellamy Road, Congrats, First Dude, Harlan’s Holiday, Kantharos, Lonhro (AUS), Lookin At Lucky, Majesticperfection, Malibu Moon, Mineshaft, Unbridled’s Song and leading first crop sire Uncle Mo.
