WinStar Farm LLC’s Net Gain came from well off the pace in The $80,000 Iowa Breeders’ Derby at Prairie Meadow on Saturday, took command turning for home and drew away to a 6-1/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Include, sold for $325,000 by Scanlon Training Center, Agent, at the 2014 OBS April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. John Carver, Jerry Hollendorfer and Green Smith’s Outside Nashville had only one horse beaten in the early going of Saturday’s $58,165 Joseph T.
