Rigney Racing’s Channel Marker came running late, took command inside the final sixteenth and won Belmont’s $300,000 Jaipur Invitational Stakes (G3) by a length. It’s the first stakes win for the 6-year-old gelded son of Purim, trained by Philip Bauer. Purchased for $130,000 out of the Paul Sharp consignment at the 2011 OBS April Sale after turning in an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5, he’s now 17-4-5-2 and has earned $361,846 to date. watch his under tack video

Ranlo Investments LLC’s Lady Shipman went to the lead at the start of Saturday’s $60,000 Crank It Up Stakes on the turf course at Monmouth and never looked back en route to a 1-1/2 length victory, with fellow OBS graduate Harlan’s Honor (April ’14) checking in third. That’s three stakes scores for the 3-year-old daughter of Midshipman, winner of the 2015 OBS Sprint in track record time. Trained by Kathleen O’Connell, she’s now 7-5-0-2 with $184,600 in earnings. She was consigned by Pleasant Acres Farm, Agent, to the 2014 OBS April Sale where she sped an Under Tack eighth in :9 4/5. watch her under tack video
