Black Hawk Stable’s Alsvid overcame a stumble leaving the gate in Oaklawn’s $300, 000 Count Fleet Sprint Handicap (G3) on Thursday, then came from just off the pace to run past the leaders in the stretch and win by three quarters of a length. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 6-year-old son of Officer, trained by Chris Hartman. With eight stakes wins to his credit, he’s now 29-12-7-3 and has earned $933,465.
