Undefeated Mr. Jordan takes Gulfstream West’s Smooth Air Stakes

David Melin, Leon Ellman and Laurie Plesa’s unbeaten Mr. Jordan is three for three by a combined 13-3/4 lengths after a frontrunning 4-1/2 length victory in the $94, 250 Smooth Air Stakes on Saturday at Gulfstream Park West. The two-turn mile was the second stakes win for the 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by Kantharos, trained by Eddie Plesa and ridden by Gabriel Saez. A two-time OBS graduate, he was sold by Summerfield, Agent, at the 2013 August Sale and then purchased by trainer Eddie Plesa for $155,000 out of the de Meric Sales consignment at the 2014 April Sale after working a quarter in :21 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. White Wabbit Wacing LLC’s It’s Not Me scored his first stakes win in Saturday’s $97,250 Buffalo Man Stakes at Gulfstream Park West, going to the lead at the start and staying there all the way, scoring by a neck over fellow OBS graduate Brother Bobo (April ’14, October ’12). It’s the third straight win for the 2-year-old Florida-bred gelding by D’wildcat, trained by Jorge Navarro, now 6-3-0-0 with $83,835 in earnings. The two time OBS graduate, claimed by his current connections on October 20, was sold first by Hickory Meadow Farm (Clare Silva), Agent, at the 2013 OBS August Sale and then sold for $50,000 by Casse Sales LLC (Justin Casse), Agent, at the 2014 OBS June Sale after an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show. watch his under tack video
