Declassify, Sheza Smoke Show score in Santa Anita graded stakes

Kaleem Shah’s Declassify went head and head with Cyclometer in the early going in Santa Anita’s $300, 250 Triple Bend Stakes (G1), appeared beaten in the final furlong but came again along the rail and was up in the final jump to win by a nose. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old colt by Orientate, purchased for $450,000 out of the Eddie Woods consignment at the 2012 OBS April Sale after he turned in an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show. Eberwine, R & R Exline & G.  Zubok’s Sheza Smoke Show led a 1-2-3 OBS sweep of Santa Anita’s $101,250 Senorita Stakes (G3), closing down the stretch and getting up late to beat Famous Alice (April ’13) by a length and a quarter, with Morning Fix (April ’13) another half  length back in third. It’s the first stakes score for the 3-year-old daughter of Wilko, now 6-3-0-1 with $138,438 in earnings. She was purchased by Marette Farrell for $100,000 on behalf of Ryan Exline out of the Secure Investments consignment at the 2013 March Sale after an Under Tack eighth in :10 1/5. watch her under tack video
