Henny Jenney get first stakes win at Presque Isle

Bernard G. Schaeffer’s Henny Jenney picked up her first stakes win on Sunday at Presque Isle Downs, rallying from off the pace, hitting the front in the final furlong and scoring by three quarters of a length in the $100, 200 Inaugural Stakes, with fellow OBS graduate Norquay (April ’13) settling for third. Second last January in the OBS Sprint Stakes, the 3-year-old daughter of Henny Hughes is now 7-2-3-1 and has earned $125,520. She was purchased by Tim Kegel, Agent, for $100,000 out of the Mayberry Farm consignment at the 2013 OBS April Sale after an eighth in :10 2/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video

Mr. Amore Stable’s Ribo Bobo has gone north for the summer but keeps on winning, this time pressing the pace in Saturday’s $79,000 Decathlon Stakes at Monmouth Park before drawing off in the stretch to a 1-1/2 length victory. That makes 13 wins in the last fifteen starts for the 6-year-old gelding by Louis Quatorze, consigned as a weanling by Summerfield (Francis & Barbara Vanlangendonck), Agent, to the 2010 OBS Winter Mixed Sale. Now 52-18-5-4, he has earned $774,655 to date.

James L. Driver and H. Ywachetta’s Rivers Run Deep gave nothing else a chance in last Thursday’s $50,000 Tall Stack Stakes at Belterra Park, taking command after a quarter mile and running away to a 12-3/4 length victory. It’s the first stakes win for the 3-year-old son of Ready’s Image, sold by Rod McVey, Agent, for $77,000 to Garry Simms, Agent for James Driver, at the 2013 OBS June Sale after he worked an Under Tack eighth in :10 flat. The win leaves him 8-2-3-1 with $121,800 in earnings. watch his under tack video
