Jerry Hollendorfer’s Wild Dude turned for home looking for room in Sunday’s $200, 000 Palos Verdes Stakes (G2) at Santa Anita, but the 4-year-old Florida-bred son of Wildcat Heir found room in deep stretch and closed strongly to catch Breeder’s Cup Sprint (G1) winner and fellow OBS graduate Secret Circle (March ’11) at the wire and beat him by a neck. It’s the first stakes win for the two-time OBS graduate, sold first by Perrone Sales, Agent, at the 2010 Fall Mixed Sale and then resold for $42,000 by Costanzo Sales at the 2012 April Sale.
