My Conquestadory beats the boys in debut in Woodbine’s Summer Stakes

Conquest Stables’ My Conquestadory got her career off to a flying start on Saturday, romping to a 3-1/2 length victory in her debut against the boys in Woodbine’s $212, 800 TVG Summer Stakes (G2). The 2-year-old daughter of Artie Schiller, who took charge of the one mile turf test turning for home before drawing away in the stretch, picked up a check for $115,908. She was sold for $240,000 by Eisaman Equine, Agent, at the 2013 OBS March Sale after an eighth in :10 flat at the Under Tack Show.  watch her under tack video

Patsy C. Symons’ Effie Trinket made it two stakes wins in her last three starts on Sunday at Belmont, getting up in the final strides and winning the $150,000 John Hettinger Stakes by a neck. It’s the third stakes win for the 3-year-old graded stakes placed daughter of Freud, now 9-5-1-1 with earnings of $312,150. She was sold for $105,000 by Everett Livestock at the 2012 OBS April Sale after a quarter in a bullet :20 3/5 at the Under Tack Show. watch her under tack video

Rozamund Barclay’s Hi Fashioned took three tries to break his maiden but did it in style on Saturday, going wire to wire in the $100,000 Barretts Juvenile Stakes at Fairplex Park and scoring by a length and a quarter. The 2-year-old Florida-bred colt by Old Fashioned, sold for $67, 000 by Dapple Stud, Agent, at the 2012 OBS August Sale, is now 3-1-2-0 and has earned $85,000 to date. Selected Yearling Sale photo

Bluestone Thoroughbreds LLC’s Black Diamond Cat won his second straight Gulfstream Park stakes race Saturday, taking command of the $100,000 Montbrook Stakes on the turn and then romping home by 5-3/4 lengths. The 6-year-old Florida-bred gelding by Wildcat Heir is a two time OBS graduate, sold first by Kaizen Sales at the 2008 January Sale before being consigned by Marion Bloodstock, Agent, to the 2008 August Sale. His fifth stakes win leaves him 50-9-11-5 with $462,454 I earnings.

Pinnacle Racing Stables, H. Jack Hendricks and Roger L. Justice’s Holiday Magic took charge of Saturday’s $85,000 Brave Raj Stakes at Calder a furlong from home then drew off to a 4-1/4 length victory over fellow OBS graduate Quinnkat (April ’13, August ’12). The two time OBS graduate was consigned to the 2012 October Sale by The Acorn LLC, Agent, before being sold for $45,000 by All In Sales (Tony Bowling) at the 2013 April Sale. Midwest Thoroughbreds Inc.’s Managed Account chased Warrioroftheroses from the start of Saturday’s $80,150 DTHA Governors Day Stakes at Delaware Park, went by him on the turn, surrendered the lead back in the stretch then came again late and beat him by a head. It’s the first stakes win for the 4-year-old colt by Malibu Moon, purchased for $110,000 out of the de Meric Sales consignment at the 2011 OBS April Sale. Now 18-6-3-1, he has earned $232,683 to date. watch his under tack video
