It’s the second win in five starts this year, all in stakes company, for the 5-year-old graded stakes winning Florida-bred son of Bwana Charlie. A two time OBS graduate, he was sold first by Beth Bayer, Agent, as a weanling at the 2010 OBS Fall Mixed Sale before bringing $22,000 when purchased out of the Indian Prairie Ranch consignment at the 2010 April Sale. Six Wide Racing LLC’s Candy Bites took charge of Saturday’s $50,000 Babst/Palacios Memorial Stakes at Beulah Park turning for home before drawing away to a 3-1/4 length victory. It’s the second straight stakes score for the 3-year-old daughter of Candy Ride, now 11-3-0-2 with earnings of $80,553.
