WinStar Farm LLC’s General Election rallied from well off the pace and got up to win Saturday’s $150, 000 Arlington Classic Stakes (G3) by a length. It’s the first graded stakes win for the 3-year-old colt by Harlan’s Holiday, sold by Wavertree Stables, Inc. (Ciaran Dunne), Agent, for $150,000 at the 2012 OBS March Sale. Maggi Moss’ Lulu Wong, second and third in her only previous stakes tries, took charge of the $58,800 Prairie Rose Stakes at Prairie Meadows at the start and never looked back, scoring her first stakes victory by 3-3/4 lengths. It’s the first win in five starts this year for the 4-year-old daughter of Badge of Silver, now 15-4-4-2 with earnings of $167,259.
